Some might have noticed that I've got some more stickers on the 40 now.. Phat42.com! So if you've arrived here after seeing one PHAT BJ42 Landcruiser drive past.. welcome!

Not much to see at the moment but things are being updated regularly.. Few photos in the gallery might be of interest to any fans of Phat 40's and 42s. Otherwise its a bit boring.

Went out for an easy drive around Mt Mee today with Chester, Matt and Anna, and me with Leigh and the furkids (well the dogs, the cats weren't keen to go for a drive)..

Anyway there wasn't anything much to report except for a nice day driving around the rainforest.. Aired down the tyres and put it low range a few times..

Just a quick one to wish everyone the best over the xmas break and to keep safe over new years! Its been a busy time for us visiting everyone and we're hoping to spend some time to ourselves in the next day or so!!

PC201026.JPGThe BDO is a regular gathering of like minded males to partake in an afternoon of barefoot bowls, drinking and general debuachery.. the bowling starts early but quickly winds down to staggering around the green and taking shit..

The idea is to wear a crazy hat for the day and generally look like an idiot.. I tells ya what tho it brings some interesting hats out of the wood work!.. All in all a good day even though we got 3 noise complaints from the neighbours.. it didnt stop everyone partying on!

Beer-Filled USB Drive Raises Disturbing Questions [Existentialism] - - Gadgets like this Beer-Filled USB Flash Drive really make me question the basics. More than my first-year university philosophy class did, anyway.... [Gizmodo]

PC161005.JPGwell.. did the 2nd shoot with the 4wdAction camera crew on much nicer day than the first shoot..

went out the springs 4x4 park the first time and it was pouring down.. we did 1 track and Roothy ran into some issues with his transfer case at the top of a big hill..  after winching him out and the camera dude getting soaked as well as coming down with the flu we called it quits..

then we return there on monday with much better weather than before and watched roothy do a cooking segment.. The springs pie.. a version of shepards pie.. went down well.. had a few brews around the camp fire then hit the sack for an early start.

got up around 7am the next day to another gorgeous day and got into conquering the hill that stopped our progress the last time..  with that out of the way the rest of the day was spent driving around,, waiting for the camera crew to setup, drove thru some obstacles then wait for them to packup... pretty hard when you just want to wheel but it beat a day stuck in the office..

I popped into Ray's work at Hendra Motors on sunday to see how the guys were getting on as Twisty was getting some work done.. Someone thought it would be a good idea to bring out the travel ramp.. hmm!

its ok if you've got flex! heres, some pics..

Well yes. After over 12 years of internet abuse I have finally decided to give up my blog viginity to PHAT42.COM!

I don't know what to really say so ill talk about my latest passion my bike. I have had my ride for about 2.5 years now, and despite it being fine to start with of course I couldn't leave it as is.... So after few...... mods here and there later, I am just about done with my baby.

Bike:- 2003 Harley Davidson VRSCA "V-Rod" 100th Year Anniversary Model Custom Paint
Capacity: 1130cc
Trans: 5 Speed
Go Fast Bits:- Screamin Eagle Heads (Go fast parts for the top of the engine) Bigger Cams (Go into the above go fast parts) Big Throttle Bodies (allowing the engine the breath faster) Dyno Tuned Slipper Clutch 28 Tooth Front Pulley (instead of 30 tooth form factory - smaller ratio better take off) Staintune 2-1 Muffler/Pipe K&N Filter Progressive 1 in lowered "440" Heavy duty rear shocks Progressive 1.5 inch lowered Heavy duty front springs with Screamin Eagle fork oil Accessories:- 100th anniversary - Grips, cluthc cover, derby cover, sissy bar. Chrome mirros, chrome switch housings, chrome kickstand, chrome slotted upper belt guard, chrome rear brake master cover, chrome front fork lowers, chrome triple trees, chrome front sheel spacers, chrome flame caliper inserts, chrome slotted hand levers, V-Rod hand lever inserts, chrome frame inserts, chrome flag front and rear foot pegs, chrome flame shift lever, sadlemen sport seat, also have sundowner touring seat, chrome headlight bucket, front indicator relocation kit, custom rear V-Rod silver reflectors.

On the dyno tune after I finlly got the go fast bits fitted, the bike pulled 127.22 HP and 78.05 Ftlbs of torque. I havent have a chance to see what it can do down the 1/4 mile but, all I can tell you is when you squeeze that throttle you can't help but giggle.

Here are some pics:-

Well.. after some issues with the 40 on a weekend wheeling trip the prognosis wasn't good from the mechanic.. so a new engine was sourced for $600 and delivered for $300 more.. the compression results on the old engine indicated it didnt have long to live.. a bit dissapointing considering it was supposedly rebuilt about 70,000kms ago.. anyway.. the boys came round on the weekend before leaving for fraser and put a solid effort in on saturday to rip out and put in the new engine. The same engine made things relatively straightforward and we got it started on saturday night.. so i spent sunday putting everything else back and test drove it sunday night. Then i drove it to work on monday with no issues!

P1010921.JPG Managed to get away to Fraser Island last week with the boys.. it was a bit of a mad scramble to get ready for it but we made it there in time.. Fraser was awesome as usual... it was pretty soft on the way up and through the bypasses but we made it up to the Sandy cape.
